NEBOSH General Certificate

National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH)

National General Certificate (NGC) is a globally recognised health and safety qualification that is held by more than 100,000 people in the UK and world-wide. The course covers the main legal requirements for safety in the UK, a range of workplace hazards, and methods of control. The Certificate is at level 3 in the National Qualification Framework, and is accredited by QCA, CEA and DELLS.

The Certificate syllabus is based on the Employment National Training Organisation (ENTO) standards. These are reviewed regularly to keep up to date with developments in the workplace and in legislation. The Certificate is accepted by IOSH in meeting the requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership. An essential first qualification for those intending to pursue a career in Health and safety!
