This course is work based and suitable for those who have real work experience in the general area of health and safety, or those who are managing the health and safety function.  

This qualification is designed to reflect the work of those employees with health and safety responsibilities and recognise their competence in the area of health and safety practice to ENTO standards.  The course involves the identification of hazards, the assessment of risks and determining strategies for management control.  Delegates must complete a total of 10 units achieving the relevant level of competence to gain the full NVQ. 

Success in NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Safety and Health Practice can provide a route for delegates to apply for Chartered Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) with the added prestige of becoming a Chartered Safety and Health Pracititioner.
